The gorge is formed by the Jonas Ridge on the east and Linville Mountain on the west and is bisected by the Linville River which drops 2,000 feet into the valleys below. The terrain is steep and rugged with numerous rock formations. It is covered by dense hardwood/pine forest and a wide variety of smaller trees and other plants. Rental requirements for Hinterlander, North Cove, NC Rental Requirements Must be at least 30 years old to rent the property Must provide a copy of a valid Driver's License Must provide a valid credit card Must sign a Rental Agreement Must book on vrbo Check In/Out Check in after 4:00 p.m. Check out before 10:00 a.m. Cancellation Policy All bookings through vrbo are subject to vrbo cancellation policy. Guests & Visitors All guests at Hinterlander must be listed on the Rental Agreement. Guests cannot exceed occupancy of 9 people -- the sleeping options suited for a max of 6 adults/3 children (0-17) Visitors are not permitted -- Hinterlander is located within a gated community and not open to visitors to "drop by" -- only the overnight guests that are specified on the rental agreement are permitted access to Linville Mountain Acres community. Pets Up to 2 dogs weighing less than 50 lbs are permitted. All dogs must be listed on the Rental Agreement. Hinterlander is not fenced in and borders +12,000 of acres of wilderness & forest -- dogs that are a risk of running after or away from something, should always be leashed when outside. Better safe than sorry. Chaining or tying dogs up on the property is not permitted. Guests must pick up after their dogs. Quiet time is 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. but you must control pets 24/7 per Linville Mountain Acres HOA rules. Damage & Incidentals You will be responsible for any damage to the property by guests or pets during the duration of your stay.
