"Exceeded expectations - Exceptionally appointed, extremely clean, and beautiful cabin. Normally, pictures of properties and their surroundings exaggerate … not so with this cabin! The photos do not do it justice, nor capture the view. You will be pleasantly surprised! We could even hear the distant waterfall on the far hillside during quiet evenings and mornings on the patio.

"Cabin luxury in the sky - A beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped contemporary A-Frame on top of a picturesque mountain. Three distinct living areas provide privacy. Perfect for a get-away-from-it-all recharging vacation, but close enough for a day trip to Biltmore Estate in Asheville or to shop in Blowing Rock. Local attractions include hiking to Linville Falls; visiting Winery, Caverns and Wilderness Area. Don’t miss a marshmallow roast in the fire pit on the terrace under a night sky full of stars. Ideal for a family get together Thoughtful, courteous and efficient hosts. Highly recommended."

"What a wonderful place to stay! We have stayed at other mountain properties for vacations -- this was absolutely the best! The view is wonderful, the house is gorgeous and this lovely home is equipped with absolutely everything we needed -- except a martini shaker and glasses (we made do!). The peace and quiet was only interrupted by birds and crickets. The weather was so lovely -- cool after the really high heat of Florida where we live. A couple of afternoon showers filled up the waterfall, which we could even hear! The feeling of rocking in the chairs on the porch has stayed with me - so relaxing and peaceful. We felt like we had fallen into the very best vacation ever. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. (it's a good thing someone had booked it after we were scheduled to leave, or I would spend all my summer there!) Karen and Ryan - you "done good" with this one!"

"Fantastic Stay! We really really enjoyed our stay at the Hinterlander. This cabin is second to none. It was very very clean and everything seemed almost brand new. The host were very helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend this cabin."

"Our Family Retreat - Our son goes to school in NC and we stay at Hinterlander 2 or 3 times a year to spend long weekends and vacations together as a family, including our two dogs. It may sound corny, but this place really has become our home away from home.”
